When a cosplay costume arrives, start with a contents check against your selected product option, then inspect the individual pieces and try the outfit on carefully. Keep the packaging and your order details together while you resolve any questions. This approach helps you distinguish a missing component from an unfamiliar accessory or a piece intended for a different version.
Give yourself a clear surface and enough time to unpack without rushing. If you ordered several costumes, finish checking one before opening the next.
1. Open the exact listing you ordered
Use the product link in your order information. Check the character version, size and any additional option you selected. A photo from a similar listing is not a reliable contents checklist, particularly when several editions share a character name.
Read the written package list before comparing the box with a styled product photo. A photographed wig, shoe or prop may not belong to the selected package. If your saved order details and the current listing differ, retain both and ask which description applies to your order.
2. Sort the contents into three groups
- Main garments: Tops, trousers, skirts, dresses, coats or jumpsuits.
- Separate accessories: Belts, gloves, ties, headwear and decorative pieces named in the package.
- Unidentified items: Anything whose purpose or attachment point is unclear.
Place small pieces together so they do not disappear inside the wrapping. Do not guess that an unfamiliar strap is spare material or discard it. Check any stated quantities: an entry marked “two belts” is different from an unnumbered accessory entry.
For a practical example, if the list says “coat, trousers, belt and gloves,” check those four entries. A hat visible in the photo becomes a question to verify, not an automatic missing-item claim.
3. Inspect each piece before assembling the outfit
Look at the front, back, lining where accessible, closures and separate decorations. Note any visible marks, open seams or damaged fasteners. Photograph the overall piece and the specific area so your question is easy to understand.
If a closure will not move normally, stop instead of forcing it. Avoid cutting, gluing, washing or altering a questioned item before asking for guidance. Check the store’s applicable policies before taking actions that might affect how a concern can be assessed; this checklist does not establish return eligibility.
4. Separate size questions from assembly questions
Check the size label against your order, then consult the product’s size information. A garment that seems difficult to put on may have a hidden opening or a separate fastening step. Locate closures before deciding it is too small.
Try the main garments without forcing them and note where the fit needs clarification. Describe the area precisely—such as shoulder movement, waistband position or sleeve length—instead of only saying the outfit “does not fit.” Use the cosplay sizing guide to organize measurement questions.
5. Send one complete support request
If something needs checking, gather the order number, product link, selected option, relevant package-list wording and clear photos. Explain what you expected and what you received. For an unidentified piece, include both sides and any attachment points.
You can contact MGcosplay with those details. Keep personal address information out of photos unless it is specifically needed to resolve the order question.

Frequently asked questions
Should I order a replacement accessory immediately?
First confirm whether it belongs to the package and whether it is genuinely missing. Check wrapping and other garment pieces, then ask with the exact product link. This avoids buying a duplicate.
What comes after the arrival check?
Once contents and fit questions are resolved, use a complete-outfit dress rehearsal to test how the pieces work together.
Put the plan into practice
After resolving any delivery or contents questions, work out the order of the layers before your full try-on. Keep pieces grouped by outfit when storing them.
